Ramsay coming to Crown?
- April 1, 2008

The restaurant industry competition could be about to become even fiercer with Gordon Ramsay, the popular chef who has become a celebrity in Australia thanks to the success of ‘Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’, possibly going to open a restaurant at Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne. To date no deal has been struck, but the Nine network (who are reportedly very keen to be involved) and Crown entered into preliminary discussions last week, while Ramsay also appears to be sold on the idea. The sticking point appears to be the location with Crown having recently enhanced their restaurant offerings with the openings of Nobu and Bistro Guillame in the past year. At the moment there is no suitable space for a new restaurant and, in order for the deal to go ahead, an established restaurant may have to make way.
