With increased consumer awareness of environmental issues, food businesses are also increasingly seeking to make claims in relation to the environmental or “green” credentials of their products.

The WA Food Industry Association seminar will cover the legal issues in making such claims including but not limited to: “food miles”, “carbon”-related claims, “environmentally friendly” or “environmentally safe”, “green”, “biodegradable”, and “recyclable”.

Professor Joe Lederman will provide guidance on the legal implications of such claims and how to address them.

This seminar will suit everyone involved in product development, marketing, quality assurance, business development but also the senior management concerned with risks associated with products claims.

Date: 25 September

Time: 9am-2pm

Cost: $250 for members and $350 for non-members
