Fast-food chain to sponsor new series of Australian Idol

KFC is set to sponsor the new series of Network Ten’s Australian Idol, launching in August.
The fast-food company will help execute an integrated marketing campaign; including both television and web-based marketing components. Television commercials, outdoor media, competitions and promotions on the official Australian Idol website will all be part of leveraging the brand across all media channels.
KFC had previously sponsored Network Ten’s Big Brother series, and was keen to continue sponsorship before the series was cancelled. The new signing with Australian Idol presents a new opportunity for KFC.
Pedro de Martini, KFC’s Marketing Director believes the sponsorship is a perfect fit for the brand.”The program is inspirational and uplifting and appeals to Australians from all walks of life, just like our customers,” he said.

if KFC wants to sponsor Australian Idol, then in my opinion they should lower their fat content and make sure that the chickens that are used in their food are not abused animals AND that their side dishes are made LOCALLY in their restaurants using fresh LOCAL produce only
Otherwiswe they should forget it..
