Coles expands online grocery shopping

Coles Supermarkets have expanded their online grocery shopping areas to include Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Towoomba, Darwin and selected Top End locations.

Shoppers in the new areas will be able to use the Coles website to shop for over 18,000 product lines, including groceries, fresh produce, bakery, meat and deli products, which will be delivered to their homes.

Online shopping cartThe new service will also create more than 20 jobs in Darwin and more than 85 in Tasmania, and has been welcomed by the Premier of Tasmania, David Bartlett.

“Coles’ introduction of an online service in Tasmania is very welcome and a demonstration of their confidence in a strong Tasmanian economy and it is confidence in the economy which leads to increased services and more jobs like we are seeing today,” Premier Bartlett said.

In addition to making purchases, the online services allows consumers to access previous orders, keep running totals and compare prices. Customers who are unsure about coverage can check by entering their postcode.
