New Diet Coke campaign features U.S. actor and reward system
Coca-Cola South Pacific has today (4 June 2012) launched a new Diet Coke advertising campaign, fronted by U.S. actor Chace Crawford, best known from television series Gossip Girl.
Called “Reward Your Mood”, the campaign asks consumers to match their mood to one of 23 options listed on the packaging – including “bubbly”, “chilled” and “frazzled” – then to select it online via the Coke Unleashed website to receive a guaranteed reward for each bottle entered.
Each mood selected online carries a unique code and will be matched to a specific reward such as a music download, movie rental, nail polish, or Coca Cola product. The on-pack promotion is available across all Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles – 450mL, 600mL, 1.25L, 1.5L, and 2L which can be found on shelves and in fridges nationwide.
The campaign will run until June 30 2012 and will be supported by a range of marketing activities.
