Jalna launches new range of pot set fruit yoghurt
Yoghurt manufacters Jalna have launched its new Pure Yoghourt with Fruit range, with a real fruit layer below the traditional pot set Sweet & Creamy Greek yoghourt recipe.
Jalna said it took more than two years of research, trialling and tasting to create four varieties of a pure fruit yoghurt that is set naturally in the pot so it “does not need any artificial additives or preservatives”.
“We continue to make yoghourt the original way; naturally set in the pot with no artificial additives or preservatives, and we think the result really speaks for itself,” said John Schofield, Jalna’s Quality Assurance Manager.
Jalna is a third generation Australian business owned by the McLaren family. Jalna has been producing “all-natural pot set yoghourt” since 1959.
The Company said it “never adds cane sugar or artificial sweeteners” to its products, and that they contain “no gums, gluten, gelatine, stabilisers, preservatives, colours or acidifiers”. Jalna (pronounced with the J) spells “yoghourt” in what it said is the “original” way because it “makes yoghourt the original way; naturally set in the pot with no additives”.
Jalna is already well established in Australian households, and the new snack size Pure Yoghourt with Fruit range extends the product offering to the office fridge as well as school lunch boxes.
Jalna’s brand manager, Kristy Vandenberghe said Jalna’s new Pure Yoghourt with Fruit range presents Australian consumers with a great tasting all natural snack option that is nutritious and rich in probiotics.
“The generous layer of real fruit adds a natural sweetness to Jalna’s pot set Sweet and Creamy yoghourt recipe without added cane sugar or artificial sweeteners,” Ms Vandenberghe said. “The range is a good choice for consumers looking for pure products that don’t compromise on taste,” she said.
Jalna’s Pure Yoghourt with Fruit range is based on milk from the same farming families that Jalna has been working with for more than 30 years, with real blueberry, raspberry, mango and passionfruit from orchards in the Goulburn Valley and Far North Queensland.
Jalna Pure Yoghourt with Fruit (RRP $2.79 for 200g) is available in Independent retailers and Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.
