Continental launches new gourmet rice and pasta range
Cook-at-home meal brand Continental has launched a new range of gourmet Pasta, Rice and Risotto meals in Australia.
A well-known Australian brand for over 60 years, Continental makes all its products in Australia out of the Continental factory in Tatura, Victoria.
The new premium range includes six pastas using perfectly crafted orecchiette and rigatoni, two rice and two authentic creamy risottos. Consumers can add fresh ingredients at home and cook in one pan. The Company said the range’s ingredients include “tomatoes farmed in Victoria and pasta made from Australian wheat”.
The new pasta range includes Creamy Chicken Pesto & Spring Onion; Aged Cheddar, Parmesan & Chive; Creamy Pumpkin, Sage & Bacon; Creamy Spinach, Parmesan & Bacon; Creamy Tomato, Parmesan & Basil; and Primavera with Vine Ripened Tomato.
The new rice range includes Thai Coconut & Lemon Grass Rice, and Teriyaki & Garlic.
The new tasty risotto range includes Roast Chicken & Leek and Mushroom & Chive.
The Company said the ingredients used in Continental’s new range are picked “when they’re in season, simply dried and then skilfully prepared by local Continental chefs”.
“Drying is one of the oldest methods of food preservation,” said Julie Baylis, Head Chef at Continental. “It locks in the flavour and nutrients so foods can be enjoyed all year round. All you need to do is ignite the flavour by adding heat and water, then let your creativity take over,” she said.
Continental Gourmet Pasta & Rice range is available in supermarkets nationally with a RRP of $2.59.
