Frosty Boy expands beverage range
Australian frozen dessert and beverage manufacturer Frosty Boy is expanding its ‘The Art of Blend’ beverage range with a new Decadent Milk Chocolate flavour.
The company has said they are launching the new flavour after noting increasing demands for more beverage choice in the Australian market.
‘’The Art of Blend’ range was introduced in September 2014 and now offers a total of eight powder-based solution which can make various hot and cold drinks.
Currently expanding well beyond just ice cream manufacturing, Frosty Boy’s CEO Dirk Pretorius says eighty per cent of Frosty Boy’s current opportunities in Australia come from their beverage bases.
“Since we launched the range we have managed to win new business in the hospitality, retail and catering sectors,” he said.
The Australian beverage market is currently worth $542 million and has been growing more than 10 per cent since 2009.
The new drink range also attempts to appeal to a more health conscious market including no artificial colours or sweeteners, is gluten free and has live probiotic cultures.
Frosty Boy was established in Australia in 1976. It currently exports to 48 countries. In 2014 they moved into a new Queensland based headquarters including two production lines and larger testing facilities than in their previous location.
