Nudie introduces coconut-based ‘yoghurt’ range
Nudie has introduced a new range of yoghurts made from fermented coconut milk instead of cow’s milk.
The new products are claimed to be dairy-free, gluten-free, ‘low in sugar’ and ‘contain no additives’. Nudie says it hopes the product range will capture the attention of those Australians who avoid dairy. The company believes 1/3 of Australians currently avoid eating dairy products.
Nudie has made the coconut yoghurts available in three flavours; natural, vanilla and blueberry. The natural flavour is also said to be suitable for vegans.
Nudie is an Australian company which began business as a juice producer in 2003. It was one of the first major brands to start selling coconut water in Australia in 2010.
The new products are available for purchase now from Woolworths supermarkets. The recommended retail prices are AUD $6.99 for a 500g natural tub and $2.99 for a vanilla and blueberry 170g tub.
