New ‘Brekky Rice’ now sold at Woolworths

The Forbidden foods brand has extended its breakfast rice range to now include a black rice, honey and cinnamon option.
The Melbourne-based company first introduced flavoured rice sachets designed to be eaten at breakfast in late 2017.
After a successful launch in independent supermarkets the range has now been extended to offer a black rice, honey and cinnamon pudding variety.
To launch the new flavour 800 Woolworths stores will be stocking the new product from May 2018 onwards.
The winter themed flavour has a recommend retail price of AUD $3.50 per serving and will be found in Woolworth’s health food aisle shelves.
Co-founder Jarrod Milani said the new option has been released after successfully launching the new product.
“We released ‘Brekky Rice’ through the independent channel and a lot of people loved it, so a national roll out in Woolworths is an exciting step to get the product in more hands.” Milani said.
