  • Managing Trade and Category Marketing Spend

  • The ‘Managing Trade and Category Marketing Spend’ workshop is designed to ensure that you are keeping pace with the competition and the latest developments in global trade & retail trends.

    The interactive professional training course aims to cover the profitable promotion strategies that are designed around specific areas. Different geographical regions, different retail chains, different product categories, different brands all create different demands on manufacturers and present different opportunities for cutting costs, improving alignment with the trade and enhancing results.

    This course also includes action sessions to encourage active participation in sharing and generate new ideas among the participants across industry, to improve the trade spend return - the largest single cost area for the business after wages and salaries and the most significant cost in marketing products to consumers.

  • WA FIA Seminar: Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing

  • The West Australian Food Industry Association is to run a seminar outlining methods to reduce costs in food and beverage manufacturing.

    Martin Lienert, Technical Advisor at FIA and an ex-Nestle Production Manager, and David Richens, Manufacturing Excellence Coach with Improve Group, will discuss the “lean” concept in the food and beverage sector and cover issues like:

    • Identifying and eliminating “lean” waste in the food and beverage industry
    • Lean Culture - Leveraging “lean” culture to accelerate performance and productivity
