Woolworths invest in Australia’s farming future

Woolworths has decided to boost their support of sustainable farming practices in Australia with the launch of their new $3.25 million Fresh Food Farming program.  The program has two main focus areas: sustainable farming; and creating future leaders. CSIRO report quashes expectations of a northern food bowl

Water resources are not capable of making the northern regions of Australia the new food bowl of South-East Asia, according to a new study from the CSIRO. Tasmania reports progress in bid to become nation’s food bowl

Tasmania is well on the way to becoming the food bowl of the nation, according to the state’s Premier – David Bartlett. Mr Bartlett said the Apple Isle was intent on using their resources more efficiently to capitalise on some of the advantages the state has for producing food.
