EU researchers believe that whey protein’s future potential as a packaging material could reduce or replace the use of petrochemicals in food packaging. Coca-Cola has announced today its decision to extend its much talked about ‘Share A Coke’ campaign into 2012. AFGC disputes CHOICE’s criticism of “low-fat” claim

The Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) has reacted to consumer advocacy group CHOICE’s criticisms of “low-fat” claims on foods. Survey suggests Australians prefer glass packaging for food and beverages

A survey conducted by market research company Ipsos Australia suggests that most Australian consumers prefer glass packaging for food and beverages over other packaging types. Parmalat and Tetra launch new milk carton

Australia’s largest dairy processor, Parmalat, in conjunction with packaging giant Tetra, has launched a new white milk carton. New manufacturing facility for Coca-Cola Amatil

Coca-Cola Amatil has launched its new bottle preform and closure facility at Eastern Creek in Victoria, a $57 million investment in its beverage manufacturing capability. The new plant, which uses injection moulding technology, will manufacture plastic bottle caps and PET resin “preforms”, which are test-tube shaped moulds used to manufacture CCA’s PET plastic beverage bottles.
