Green Table Australia to reward restaurants for environmental best practice commitment

Restaurant and Catering Australia (R&CA) announced the launch of the Green Table Australia initiative on Monday night, which will encourage restaurants to reduce their impact on the environment. Restaurants that adhere to the “best practice” suggestions of the program will be awarded with a Green Table logo that they can proudly put on display at their restaurant. Sydney restaurant Quay has received another accolade to add to their amazing collection of awards for the year. Quay was recognised as Restaurant of the Year by the NSW Restaurant & Catering Association on Monday night to complete a remarkable month. Jacques Reymond has been bestowed with the honour of Lavazza Restaurant of the Year at the 2008 Restaurant & Catering Victoria Awards held on Tuesday night, with Delaware North - Melbourne Zoo taking the honours as Caterer of the Year.
