A new centre which will take visitors through a historical journey of chocolate was inaugurated today by Nestlé Switzerland. The CHF 7 million renovation project at The Maison Cailler visitor centre in the Swiss town of Broc, aims to create a unique experience for the whole family and bring the world of chocolate to life. The Federal Government is strengthening its push to lure more tourists to regional areas by promoting the fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, nuts and other produce for sale at the farm-gate.Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Tony Burke launched an initial study in March, to look at what drives food tourism and how the industry could grow. The Barossa is setting the Australian benchmark for food and wine tourism, according to a new report by the Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre.
