Steggles targets ‘premium’ market in cafes and school canteens

 Steggles logoBaiada-owned poultry brand Steggles has announced it will launch a new range of premium products targeting the foodservice industry to be known as the Steggles Premium Food Service Rance; it includes Premium Chicken Breast Fillets, marinated chicken breast that is packaged for cafes, restaurants and hotels..

The Steggles Premium Foodservice range includes According to Steggles, the fillets are 100 per cent marinated chicken breast and are portion-controlled at 100g each.

The new range also includes Chicken Breast Pops, which are registered for sale in school canteens. Steggles announced these would from 100 per cent chicken breast and coated in tempura batter.

Steggles believes both products, fully cooked, can be heated in an oven, pan, deep fryer or grill prior to serving. The products are said to contain no artificial colours and flavours and are to be Halal certified.

“Steggles Premium Chicken Breast Fillets are so versatile; they can be used in a wrap, foccacia, burger or served with salad or vegetables,” said Steggles Brand Manager, Celeste Maroney.

“Chicken Breast Pops are popular among kids. They are nutritious and can also be used to create an abundance of meals and snacks.”

“All Steggles chickens are grain fed, free to roam in large barns, and are 100 per cent free of any added hormones or steroids,” the Steggles spokesperson said.
