Leggo’s social media ‘People’s Cookbook’
Australian producer of Italian-style foods, Leggo’s, is set to launch what it calls a ‘People’s Cookbook’, with recipes sourced from fans on the Company’s Facebook page.
Leggo’s, which is a division of Simplot Australia Pty Ltd, says it has produced cookbooks since the 1920s, but “this new edition marks a change in the way that home cooking has become a shared and social experience”.
Aspiring chefs and every day cooks alike are invited to upload their favourite original recipe to the Leggo’s Australia Facebook page or website. A specially designed entry mechanism, which was created by Hard Hat Digital and BWM, allows Leggo’s Facebook fans to submit their recipes as well as share them with friends and family.
“We are a nation of well cultured ‘foodies’ who love to share our cooking experiences,” said Tara Lordsmith, Simplot Australia Pty Ltd General Manager of Retail Marketing. “The development of this campaign allows our Leggo’s community to celebrate their Italian inspired creations with the chance of appearing in this iconic cookbook,” she said.
Recipes can be submitted at facebook/Leggo’sAustralia or www.leggos.com.au
