Garlo’s celebrates “spooky” with new Halloween pies

Australian pie maker Garlo’s Pies has released a new batch of Halloween Pumpkin pies to celebrate Halloween.

Garlo’s Pies, which was founded by former National Rugby Leagues (NRL) captain Sean Garlick, his brother Nathan and father Terry in 2001, said the pies would make a “healthy alternative” to the traditional Halloween lollies and treats. The pies combine one of Garlo’s Pies’ signature meat pies with a smooth, mashed pumpkin topping.

This is not the first time the Company has made specialty pies – in 2012, Garlo’s Pies released a batch of Blues-themed shepherds pies for the State of Origin, and rabbit pies and rooster pies for the NRL season opener earlier in 2013.

“These sort of promotions are a lot of fun,” said Sean Garlick, Managing Director of Garlo’s Pies. “Halloween is becoming a huge event in Australia, so we just wanted to get involved in our own way. The pumpkin pies have already proven to be a hit around the office and now they’re ready for the public,” he said.

The pies will be available in Garlo’s Pies Sydney stores in Eastgardens, Coogee, Mascot and at its head office in St. Peters.
