IGA exclusive wins Ready Meal of the Year
An IGA exclusive range has won ‘Ready Meal of the Year’ at the 2017 National Food & Beverage Industry Awards.
Produced by Creative Food Solutions, two ‘Appetite for Healthy’ branded meals – Roast Chicken and Slow Cooked Beef Steak – were awarded equal first place.
Algy Pereira, Metcash Executive General Manager of Merchandise, said winning the award in association with Creative Food Solutions was a first for IGA.
“Shoppers love this range and we continue to see consumer demand for quality ready to eat meals,” Pereira said.
“IGA supermarkets across Australia are perfectly located for busy Australians to drop by for premium quality ready to eat meal solutions such as the ‘Appetite for Healthy’ at lunch or your way home.”
All entries were marked on quality of product. Appetite for Healthy uses ingredients sourced from Australia and its meals are designed by in-house chefs.
