NSW restaurants under more pressure to improve food safety
The Upper House of NSW Government has passed legislation which will enable the ‘naming and shaming’ of all restaurants caught cutting corners with regard to food safety. The changes to the Food Safety Act of NSW will allow the Food Authority to publish, on their website, the names of restaurants caught breaching food laws.
The bill will now be sent to the Lower House for final approval.
