Chronos bottom-up filling systemPackaging company Chronos BTH and Australian Prime Fibre (APF) will be exhibiting a new state-of-the-art packaging system at this year’s AUSPACK PLUS 2011 expo,  the new Chronos BTH Bottom-Up Bag Filling System.

Chronos BTH has recently developed and introduced a hygienic bottom-up filling system for powders (especially dairy products) into open-mouth bags.

The innovative dust-poor, patented bottom-up filling technology guarantees high accuracies in the filling process of powders. The machine features a closed bag-top transport, quick and simple cleaning, fast changeover times and minimised dust emission.

The bagging system is available in full stainless-steel version or ATEX design. Optional nitrogen purging is possible. During bag transportation the bag-top remains closed. The control area is separated from the functional bagging zone.

There are no fixing devices in the product flow, and the finish of the components that come into contact with bulk material is sanitary welded in the interior and sanitary welded and polished at the exterior machine parts.

Chronos BTH is recognised worldwide for its customised and innovative weighing, bagging, baling, palletising and load securing solutions for various industries.

The company offers manual, semi-automatic, fully automated or turnkey solutions for bagging a diverse range of bulk materials in the Food, Feed, Chemicals, Minerals and Horticulture industries. Their BAGGING portfolio includes open-mouth bagging systems, valve bagging systems, horizontal and vertical FFS systems and filling systems for flexible and rigid containers.

Chronos BTH is a single point of contact for all of its customer’s packaging and material handling needs. Each piece of equipment is designed, manufactured and integrated in-house.

The system will be on show at stall 226 at AUSPACK PLUS, to be held this year from the 22nd to the 25th of March at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The convention, presented by the  Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association, is free, and attendees can register online at More information is available from Mark Walsh on 03 9321 6758 or e-mail
