Huon launches new salmon value-add range
Huon has launched a new range of flavoured salmons, that add value to the existing range and provide distinctiveness from its competitors.
The range includes:
Whisky Cured Cold Smoked Salmon
Made to suit fans of whisky or just those who want a sweeter taste from their salmon. Can be served as an appetiser, on an entertaining platter or with eggs for breakfast or brunch. Available now from Woolworths, independent retails and fishmongers across Australia. The recommended retail price is AUD $10.99 for a 100g serving of pre-sliced pieces.
Gin and Keffir Lime Cured and Cold Smoked Salmon
Huon says its Gin and Keffir Lime salmon is ideal for those who want familiar flavours that are still a unique, premium “on trend” combination. Designed to be served alongside salad, with breakfast dishes, as an entrée or in lunch dishes such as wraps or rice paper rolls. Available now from Woolworths, independent retails and fishmongers across Australia. The recommended retail price is AUD $10.99 for a 100g serving of pre-sliced pieces.
Thai Lemongrass Wood Roasted Salmon
This option is described as an easy entertaining or salad option with a familiar flavour profile. Available now from Woolworths, independent retails and fishmongers across Australia. The recommended retail price is AUD $8.99 for a 100g serving of pre-sliced pieces.
The release of Huon’s new range is being launched despite recent issues that have affected some salmon producers in Tasmania. Huon recently issued proceedings in the Australian Federal Court against the Tasmania state government, stating the Tasmanian government mis-managed the regulation of salmon farming in Macquarie Harbour.
