TheFork Expands Its Presence In Australia
TheFork, a TripAdvisor® company, is continuing to reinforce its presence in Australia by partnering with over 350 new restaurants since the start of the year. This list includes two of Australia’s leading hospitality groups, with restaurants from the Solotel and The Star Entertainment Group stable now bookable on TheFork.
Over the last 10 years, TheFork, formerly operating as Dimmi, has become an essential tool for restaurants to optimise bookings as well as attract and retain diners. The new restaurant offerings signal the start of a big year of growth for the company, with the team continuing to increase their network of restaurants across Australia.
By the end of June, diners will be able to book all 30 Solotel venues via TheFork, including award-winning Aria in Brisbane and Sydney, North Bondi Fish, Barangaroo House and harbourfront favourite Opera Bar.
Meanwhile, the platform has already welcomed 24 of The Star Entertainment Group’s restaurants across Sydney and Queensland. Ten of their top dining destinations such as BLACK Bar & Grill, Flying Fish, Sokyo and Nineteen At The Star Gold Coast are now taking bookings on TheFork, while a further 14 venues are utilitising TheFork’s diary capabilities.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Fork across many of our restaurants in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast,” said Michael Hodgson, General Manager Tourism, F&B, Strategy & Partnerships at The Star Entertainment Group.
“The functionality provided by the platform will become an integral part of our restaurant management systems by optimising efficiencies – allowing our managers on the floor during service to do what they do best: deliver exceptional guest experiences.”
Globally, the company also continues to strengthen its worldwide footprint across Europe, Oceania and Latin America. With the recent acquisition of Restorando, a leader in online restaurant reservations in Latin America, TheFork now has more than 60,000 restaurants across 18 global markets.
