Aldi continues its expansion into South Australia

Aldi has opened its 25th store in South Australia.
The store, located in Victor Harbour, opens two years after Aldi first set up shop in South Australia.
Aldi currently employs more than 400 people in South Australia and has connections to 32 local suppliers including San Remo and Bickfords.
The German discount supermarket chain has served approximately 10 million South Australian shoppers and 30.7 per cent of households have visited an Aldi store.
Managing Director of Aldi South Australia, Viktor Jakupec, said the 25th store was an important milestone.
“We look forward to continuing our expansion in 2018, opening more stores to allow even more shoppers the opportunity to discover the difference ALDI can make to their wallets and their lifestyles,” said Viktor Jakupec, Managing Director of Aldi South Australia.
More SA Aldi stores to come
Now with a strong presence in metropolitan areas of South Australia, Aldi said it intends to open more stores in regional areas in 2018 with shops planned for Port Pirie, Murray Bridge and Kadina.
Across 2017, Aldi opened SA stores in Aldinga, Nuriootpa, Kensington Park, Hawthorn, Ingle Farm and Adelaide Airport.
Aldi has long-term plans to open up to 50 stores in South Australia.
