Campbell’s Soup employees go back to work

A compromise has been reached between food manufacturer Campbell’s Soup and workers at their factory in Shepparton. Work at the factory in Victoria came to a halt last Friday when employees launched industrial action due to a breakdown in negotiations over new workplace agreements. Campbell’s Soup factory workers strike in Shepparton

The Campbell’s Soup factory in Shepparton has come to a halt today as employees of the company launched industrial action. The ABC reports that around 150 maintenance and production staff have gone on strike for a period of 24 hours as negotiations for a new enterprise bargaining agreement continue. Nat Foods’ Berri operation up-and-running again

The Berri juice factory is back in operation after vandals caused a temporary closure of the plant last week. National Foods has reported the damage bill left by vandals – who smashed computers and emptied containers full of thousands of litres of juice – stood at around half-a-million dollars. An official at the plant in the Riverland of South Australia, Geoff Lynch, hopes the company can begin bottling again sometime this week.
