The Coffee Club debuts hearty British menu

Cafe chain The Coffee Club has announced new additions to its menu for the cooler months, with the ‘Greatest of Britain’ menu featuring a range of hearty British meals.

The new menu features meals inspired by traditional British recipes using seasonally-available ingredients, and will be available from May 9 to June 19.

The ‘Greatest of Britain’ menu includes a traditional British Beef Pie with mushy peas, mashed potato and gravy, a chicken and mushroom filo, a bacon and zucchini quiche, and at Coffee Club restaurants, bangers and mash and lamb shanks.

According to The Coffee Club Director John Lazarou, the new menu features meals perfected over generations, which are now favourites with families throughout Australia.

“The Coffee Club’s Executive Chef Dan Forrest has put a lot of work into perfecting these meals and he has stayed true to those original British flavours,” Lazarou said.

“The new ‘Greatest of Britain’ menu offers a mouth-watering range for customers to taste classic British meals without leaving the comfort of their local The Coffee Club store,” he said.

The Coffee Club’s Executive Chef Dan Forrest said the new menu’s timing was perfect, just as the cooler days of autumn and winter set in.

“British food is full of flavours that are created to satisfy hearty appetites, particularly as the weather gets cool,” Forrest said.

“It took a long time to perfect this menu. I challenge anyone to stay away when the smells of freshly-baked beef pie, lamb shanks and sizzling sausages are around,” he said.
