Australian snack food manufacturer Vitality Brands has launched a new range of snack and chocolate brands called AntiOx, which it claims are “high in natural antioxidants that help boost immunity”.
AntiOx Snack Bars are said to be made with “superfruits”, wholegrains and forest fruits, covered in 70 per cent cocoa dark chocolate. The chocolate is “sugar-free, sweetened instead with stevia”. The bars come in three varieties: Goji, Acai and Chia, and Quinoa.
Vitality Brands say both acai and goji berries contain a “very high concentration of antioxidants”. The Company says goji berries are also “a source of vitamin C, as well as vitamins B1, B2, B6 and vitamin E”.
According to Vitality Brands’ media release, quinoa has a “high protein content compared with other grains”, and is also “a source of iron, fibre, vitamins B and E, and essential amino acids” and that chia “contains omega 3, fibre, protein, calcium, antioxidants, potassium and magnesium”.
Wladimir Budnick, Vitality Brands’ Research and Development Director and Food Scientist. “AntiOx Chocolate and Snack Bars were created to help your immune system keep those nasties at bay.”
AntiOx Snack Bars and AntiOx Chocolate are available in the health section of Woolworths, Coles, IGA stores and health food stores.
