Gippsland Dairy launches new organic yoghurt range in Australia

Australian dairy manufacturer Gippsland Dairy has introduced a new range of Organic yogurts in Australia.
The Gippsland Dairy Organic range will consist of 450g tubs in Vanilla, Mango and Blackberry & Raspberry flavours and 900g tubs in Vanilla and Natural flavours. This product line will be available exclusively in Woolworths from August 2014.
Gippsland Dairy said its Organic range is Australian Certified Organic (ACO). Gippsland Dairy said certified organic products “are produced without the use of synthetic chemicals and fertilisers via a whole system approach which ensures an entirely organic environment is maintained from the farm to the resulting product”. The Company said the new range had been carefully crafted to cater to the growing number of Australians who are looking for organic food products. Gippsland Dairy said its Organic range is also “free of preservatives, artificial colours and flavours”.
“At Gippsland Dairy we believe in producing simply delicious dairy products for all. To achieve this, our new Organic range meets the needs of people who are passionate about living an organic lifestyle,” said Lynley Radford, General Manager of Sales and Category on Gippsland Dairy.
Australian Food News reported in July 2014 that Gippsland Dairy had undergone a packaging makeover, which was designed to emphasise the Company’s approach to yoghurt making as a “craft”. Unlike other modern day yogurt makers, Gippsland Dairy said its yoghurt makers rely on their experience and senses to decide when the product is right, rather than relying on machinery or the use of stabilisers, thickeners or gelatin.
