Simplot launches new John West Tuna Pasta Salad in Australia

Food manufacturer Simplot has announced it will launch a new Tuna Pasta Salad range under its John West brand.
The range delivers a blend of tuna and vegetables, combined with pasta served in ready-to-eat packs. Simplot said the range was “a good source of omega-3” and the packs were the “perfect option for people on the go, conveniently designed so no heating is required”. The ready-to-eat serves of Tuna Pasta Salad have been designed for consumption straight from the tub and come with a spork for convenience.
The range is available in three new flavours including Mexican Salsa, Italian Style and Balsamic Dressing.
Katie Saunders, Simplot’s General Manager Shelf Grocery, said the latest offering from John West was targeting those with busy lifestyles, particularly customers who were looking for a “quick yet nutritious and tasty lunch or light snack option”.
“We understand that it can be hard to find time to prepare nutritious meals when you’re working or busy with family commitments, so we’re taking the hassle out of the process,” Ms Saunders said. “The new Tuna Pasta Salads are both delicious and convenient without compromising nutritional value,” she said.
“We’re confident our customers are going to love the fresh new flavours of Tuna Pasta Salad, whether it’s the Mexican Salsa with a touch of chilli or a taste of Italy with tomato and basil, each flavour has been crafted to suit any taste,” Ms Saunders said.
John West’s new range of Tuna Pasta Salads is available now in Woolworths and independent supermarkets, and from November 2014 in Coles supermarkets, for RRP $3.99 for a 190g serve.
