Cinnabon, the market leader among cinnamon roll bakeries, is opening its first Victorian store at Westfield Southland next Wednesday March 03.The US-born brand made an explosive entrance into Brisbane in late 2019, and Melbournians have been relentless in demanding the world-famous ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls come to town ever since.

The Australia Operations Manager, Lauren Ord, states that Melbourne Cinnabon fans have been amongst the most vocal in demanding a local Cinnabon bakery. “Some of our most avid social media fans are in Melbourne so it brings us great relief to finally be able to let them know we’re coming!”

Richa Goyal, Cinnabon Australia Franchisor, said it has been an onerous task to get the first bakery open in Melbourne with COVID-19 delivering unwanted challenges and setbacks over the past year, so the team is thrilled to finally be able to announce an opening date.

Cinnabon at Westfield Southlands will open with their three iconic flavours – Classic Makara Cinnamon Roll, Chocobon and Caramel Pecanbon – in mini and regular sizes. There will also be CinnaPacks of 4 and 9 ‘bons available and you can pre-order them online.

“To ensure we can cater for as many people as possible on opening day we have packs available to pre-order *online and collect between 10am-4pm, and you’ll find us near Coles,” says Ms Ord.

“Pre-ordered packs won’t be warm so we encourage you to reheat for 15-20 seconds for ooey-gooey deliciousness.”
