Nine-armed robot might be the future of fruit picking
A three meter tall robot is picking mangoes in the Queensland. An ABC reporter suggests that machines like that can reduce the chances of damage to the skin as it will take out the grunt work.
Kerry Walsh, the inventor of the robot, said that the robot combines light and sensors to determine the selection process of picking ripe ones, and leaving the ones that are not ready.
