Woolworths recalls chocolates due to undeclared milk content
Australian supermarket chain Woolworths has recalled batches of its Macro Wholefoods chocolate products because they contain milk without the required declaration on the product label.
The products in question were sold in Woolworths, Safeway, Flemings, and Food for Less supermarkets in NSW and interstate.
The recalled products and batches are:
– Macro Wholefoods Market Dark Chocolate Santas, 80g, 6 individual Santa shaped lactose free chocolates, all ‘best before’ dates sold between 8 November 2011 and 17 April 2012.
– Macro Wholefoods Market Dark Chocolate treats, 300g, individually wrapped lactose free chocolates, all ‘best before’ dates sold between 8 November 2011 and 17 April 2012.
– Macro Wholefoods Market Dark Chocolate Star Box, 170g, individually wrapped lactose free chocolates arranged in a star formation, all ‘best before’ dates sold between 8 November 2011 and 17 April 2012.
– Macro Wholefoods Market 65g, Christmas 2011 Advent calendar with lactose free dark chocolates and Santa, all ‘best before’ dates sold between 8 November 2011 and 17 April 2012.
Consumers with an allergy to milk are advised not to consume the products. Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
