Buderim Ginger appoints new CEO
The Directors of Buderim Ginger Limited have appointed Roger Masters as Chief Executive Officer effective today March 18, 2013. He was previously Managing Director with Capilano Honey, a position he held for sixteen years until 2012.
Buderim Ginger markets and produces ginger, macadamia and savoury pastry products both domestically and internationally.
Outgoing CEO Murray Richardson announced his resignation in early January 2013, citing personal family reason. At that time, Mr Richardson had also stated that he would remain in the role for up to three months while the company conducted a search for his replacement. He will now stay on for a two week handover period to new CEO, Roger Masters.
Buderim Ginger recorded a turnaround profit throughout 2012: the company recorded a profit before tax of $3.01 million for the full year ending 31 December 2012, an increase on the prior year of 64.5%.
“Roger brings a wealth of experience to Buderim and will continue overseeing the company’s turnaround”, said Chairman, Steve Morrow.
