Lion adds a new pale ale to its beverage range
Lion’s brand XXXX Gold, has added a pale ale offering to its beverage line.
‘XXXX Gold Australian Pale Ale’ is a combination of specialty malts, Amarillo hops and fermented ale yeast. It is a mid-strength beer and has been described as “easy-drinking”.
The Queensland based brewer is using the beer to expand its presence in the mid-strength beer category. XXXX Gold’s Brand Director Tanya Maler says that more drinkers are looking for lighter alcohol which does not compromise on taste.
“Today, more drinkers want to moderate their consumption due to increasing responsibilities and general wellbeing so they’re looking for less than full strength alternatives,” said XXXX Gold’ Brand Director, Tanya Maler.
XXXX Gold said that the company has also released the beer on the back of a general growing taste for pale ales in Australia.
XXXX GOLD was first launched in 1990 and is owned by beverage and food company, Lion.
XXXX Gold Australian Pale Ale is available now at Dan Murphy’s retailing at $42.99 for a case of 24 or $3.49 per bottle.
