Domino’s Pizza happy to serve investors record profits
Domino’s Pizza has today reported a net profit of AUD$45.6 million for the six months ended the 31 December 2015.
This is an increase of 56.7 per cent on the previous year’s results for the same period.
The company reported group same store sales growth of 10.3 per cent and a revenue of AUD$445.3 million, a 29.6 per cent increase.
The pizza chain has attributed its success to organic growth. It said its recent acquisition of French chain ‘Pizza Sprint’ did not contribute to the results.
It also attributed the growth to focusing on developing and delivering online platforms with global capacity and result in in cost and operation efficiencies.
“The positive outlook for sales, store growth and margin improvement has resulted in the upgrading of the underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation and net profit after tax Growth Guidance to be in the region of 35 per cent for FY2016 [the financial year ending on the 30 June 2016],” Dominos said.
“FY16 Guidance on new store openings is between 460 – 5000 for the Group,” Dominos stated. This includes its Pizza Sprint acquisition stores.
