Dilmah launches premium Ceylon Green Tea range
Dilmah is now selling a premium Ceylon Green Tea range in Australian supermarkets.
The tea is produced in Sri-Lanka, a change for the brand as until recently Dilmah green tea was made in China.
Dilmah green tea production moved out of China
Dilmah founder, Merrill J. Fernando said he decided to move production to guarantee its purity.
“Tea from this region is of unique character and flavour. At Park Estate, I can also ensure the provenance of the tea and ensure stringent quality testing every step of the way,” said Fernando.
Dilmah’s black tea is already produced in Sri-Lanka.
The range is available in several varieties, pure Ceylon green tea, Moroccan mint, lemongrass and jasmine. All four varieties can be purchased from Woolworths and selected independent supermarkets. The pure and jasmine options can be purchased from Coles. The recommended retail price is AUD $ 3.69 for 20 tea bags.
