Hog’s reopens Glenelg location with updated menu, putting staff back to work

After a temporary closure left Adelaide steak fans with unrespited cravings, Hog’s Glenelg is once again open for business under the new leadership of franchisee Paul Turner.
The restaurant, located in Adelaide’s southwest, softly opened doors to the public on Thursday, June 27 and Monday marked the official re-opening.
Paul Turner says a quick turnaround was always part of the plan for Glenelg. “We knew we needed to update the site,” said Turner.
Returning patrons will be treated to updated interior design elements, including new floors and paint to give the restaurant a fresh and modern look.

“But the most important thing was putting staff back to work as quickly as possible. I pushed for an expedited timeline when I signed on as franchisee, and I’m proud we were able to do it in just a couple weeks.”
Eleven staff members from the previous Glenelg and Holden Hill locations have been re-hired for the front and back-of-house operations of the restaurant.
To celebrate, Glenelg will also be the first Hog’s location to debut five new menu items, weeks ahead of the rest of the country.

The new menu additions include Hickory Pork Fingers, starring 400g pork ribs glazed with Hog’s-own hickory-smoked BBQ sauce, and the Memphis Brisket Burger oozing with slow-cooked beef brisket and smoky Memphis BBQ sauce.
The Whole Hog Burger is back by popular demand from the Summer Steak Burger Bun-Nanza promotion, and the all-new Troppo Burger has been added, which features 100% Char-grilled Australian Angus beef covered with cheese, pineapple, bacon, lettuce, sliced tomato, and a tasteful hickory-smoked BBQ sauce.
Of course, Hog’s famous 18-hour slow-cooked Prime Rib will remain a staple on the Hog’s menu, complete with 2 delicious sides.
Finish your meal with the new Hog’s Berry Mess dessert, consisting of crumbled meringue, whipped cream, strawberries and fresh mint.
Hog’ Glenelg will be open from 11:30 am – Late, Monday – Sunday.
