Jalna launches new yoghurt flavour and citrus flavoured yoghurt snack
Victorian-based yoghurt manufacturer Jalna has released a new yoghurt flavour and snack-sized citrus flavoured yoghurt.
Jalna’s new Greek Sweet and Creamy Yoghurt is based on Jalna’s Natural Greek Yoghurt recipe, but is slightly sweetened with fruit juice. Jalna’s Natural Greek Yoghurt was recently named Champion Natural Yoghurt at the 2013 Australian Grand Dairy Awards, and the Company said a “sweet twist” on its traditional favourite was a “natural progression” for Jalna.
According to Jalna, the Sweet and Creamy flavour is less acidic that traditional Greek yoghurts but “still delivers the well-known health benefits of Greek yoghurt”.
Jalna has also launched a new snack-sized Citrus Splice product, which it said is a “throwback to that famous 1980s pairing of citrus and cream”.
Jalna Sweet and Creamy is available at Independent retailers, and Coles and Woolworths supermarkets nationally for RRP $6 for 1kg. Jalna Citrus Splice is available at Independent retailers and Woolworths supermarkets nationally for RRP $1.98 for 200g.

Hi Sophie,
I read your article and as a Dairy Engineer with a lot of experience in Dairy area, I would like to come in contact with Jalna Dairy to discuss about their Greek yoghurt production.
It is something that we have done with a lot of success in USA, where Greek yoghurt is the No 1 dairy product, with enormous growth the last 5-6 years.
I was working in FAGE SA for 15 years, so I know very well all the production secrets of this particular product, and Fage’s 2% TOTAL brand is the best yoghurt by far from the competitors.
