BeerBud unveils limited release craft beer to raise funds for charity

Australian craft beer online retailer BeerBud has teamed up with Victorian craft brewery Prickly Moses to launch a limited release craft beer, BeerBud’s Prickly Mo, to help raise funds for charity campaign Movember.
BeerBud said all profits from the sale of BeerBud’s Prickly Mo will be donated to the Movember Foundation, one of the leading global organisations committed to changing the face of men’s health.
BeerBud is a website that allows consumers to browse through more than 100 craft beers from over 30 of Australia’s best craft breweries online, and order them for delivery. Every beer features tasting notes, member ratings and the story behind the brewery. Consumers can also subscribe to receive their hand-selected mixed cases featuring a different local brewery each month, and receive invitations to tailored craft beer events, brewery tours, exclusive member benefits and access to limited edition beers.
The Company has also launched a crowd funding campaign at www.beerbud.com.au/pricklymo where consumers can exclusively pre-purchase this limited release beer, or take the opportunity to join Prickly Moses’ head brewer, Luke Scott, to help brew the Prickly Mo beer itself.
“We’re on a mission to help Australians drink better beer and make a difference while doing it,” said Andy Williamson, CEO of BeerBud.com.au.
“The Prickly Mo is a collaboration between local and independent Australian craft beer brewers, suppliers and retailers to raise funds for men’s health,” Mr Williamson said. “We’re aiming for this to be an annual initiative, so we encourage all Australians to get involved, support a great cause and drink awesome beer while they’re at it,” he said.
Mr Williamson said beer was the number one beverage in Australia but that consumers’ tastes were maturing and consumers and brewers were “increasingly experimenting with new styles and flavours”.
“From easy drinking summer ales, to dark and heavily roasted stouts and flavour packed IPA’s, there’s now a beer to match any taste or occasion,” Mr Williamson said. “There’s never been a better time to be a beer drinker,” he said.
To pledge funds towards the Prickly Mo and Movember and reap from a stack of rewards, go to www.beerbud.com.au/pricklymo before 31 October 2014.
