Egg producer extends its meal preparation business for foodservice sector

One of Australia’s largest egg producers Sunny Queen has recently launched a new range of pre-prepared egg meals designed for commercial kitchens.
The range includes omelettes, fritters, poached, scrambled and baked eggs. Kitchens will be required to defrost and reheat the eggs once they are ready to serve them.
The range has been released under a new banner of the company that is being called Sunny Queen’s ‘Meal Solutions’.
Whilst frozen, some of the egg products can last up to 12 months.
The products are described as made in Australia from local and imported ingredients.
Sunny Queen say they have invested millions into this new product range, including building a $23 million facility at Carole Park, Queensland.
Sunny Queen has been selling eggs since 1969. The Australian egg industry is estimated to be worth AUD$1.7 billion.
