OAK launches protein milk

OAK has launched a new high-protein version of its flavoured milk range.

OAK milk is produced by Parmalat and is sold widely in Australian supermarkets and convenience stores.

The new ‘OAK Plus’ is designed to be a sports recovery drink and contains 30 grams of serving per 500ml bottle.

OAK Plus is available in three different flavours – chocolate, iced coffee and vanilla.

Angela Burr, OAK Marketing Manager, said the company knows a lot of people already drink OAK chocolate milk after exercise because of its protein.

“OAK Plus tastes every bit as good as regular OAK but is designed specifically to refuel the body after a tough workout, with 30 grams of natural dairy protein for sustained energy and muscle recovery throughout the day,” she said.

The drink was originally developed for professional football plays and has already been used by the NRL’s Penrith Panthers and the AFL’s Port Adelaide team.

OAK Plus is available now from Coles, Woolworths, Caltex, BP and 7-Eleven stores. The recommended retail price is AUD $3.90 for a 500ml bottle.
