New Zealand-based spreads manufacturer Pic’s has launched its ‘Really Good Peanut Butter’ in Australia.

Pic’s said its peanut butter is an “all-natural, nothing added, just great tasting spread”. The peanut butter comes in both a crunchy and smooth variety, and is made from peanuts grown in Kingaroy in Queensland.

Pic’s said the peanut butter “has no added sugar”, and that it was “tasting sugary peanut butter” that first inspired Pic’s founder, Pic Picot, to make his own peanut butter. Pic’s said its peanut butter is “made from freshly roasted peanuts and nothing else; no artificial additives, emulsifiers, preservatives, gluten or added sugar, only a light sprinkling of salt in the salted varieties”.

Mr Picot said he first made his peanut butter at home based on his recollection of the way his mother and auntie “used to make real peanut butter from scratch, using a roaster he made out of a concrete mixer and a bench top grinder”.

Pic’s Peanut Butter was established in 2007 and is now the market leader across New Zealand supermarkets. It has recently been listed in 200 gourmet and specialty stores across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, and is now available in Coles supermarkets.

The Company also has outlets in Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK and the US, and is shipped to mail order customers all over the world. Pic’s Peanut Butter also sells peanut oil made from high quality, cold-pressed peanuts from Kingaroy.
